Access to clean drinking water remains a major issue in the Thar Desert, where extreme poverty and harsh climate make survival difficult. Recognizing this dire need, SA Foundation launched its Clean Water for All initiative — and by the grace of Allah, we successfully completed the installation of a hand pump water well in one of Thar’s most underserved villages.
Key highlights
Over 60 families now have access to fresh, safe drinking water.
Walking distances for water reduced from 3-5 kilometers to just a few meters.
Local children, who previously missed school due to water-fetching duties, are now attending classes regularly.
Women now feel safer, healthier, and more relieved.
This water well isn’t just about thirst — it represents hope, dignity, and survival.
And this is just the beginning. InshaAllah, many more wells are on the way.
